Habitat and Description: At least six shrub observed, in pinyon - juniper - oak woodland on slopes of Salmon Peak Limestone, in shallow canyon and on higher more exposed slopes. Associates include Acacia berlandieri, Berberis trifoliolata, Cercis canadensis var. texensis, Condalia viridis, Dasylirion texanum, Forestiera reticulata, Jatropha dioica, Juniperus ashei, Karwinskia humboldtiana, Mimosa cf. borealis, Opuntia lindheimeri, Pinus remota, Quercus pungens var. vaseyana, Rhus virens, Yucca treculeana.
