Habitat and Description: Locally common in bed of ranch road through medium-stature thornscrub on tight fine sandy loam (Webb Series) on rolling upland underlain by El Pico Formation. Shrubland dominated by Acacia rigidula, A. berlandieri, Guaiacum angustifolium. Other associates include Acleisanthes anisophylla, Bouteloua trifida, Jatropha dioica, Lantana urticoides, Pennisetum ciliare, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Tiquilia canescens.
