Habitat and Description: Occasional in fallow corn field on deep, well drained, moderately alkaline loam (Clareville Series, Pachic Argiustolls) on level to gently sloping upland underlain by calcareous sandstone of the Lissie Formation. Associates include Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Cenchrus spini-fex, Convolvulus equitans, Cynodon dactylon, Dichanthelium annulatum, Eupatorium incarnatum, E. odoratum, Helianthus annuus, Ipomoea cordatotriloba, Linum sp., Oxalis dillenii, Par-thenium hysterophorus, Pyrrhopappus pauciflorus, Ratibida columnifera, Sarcostemma cynanchoides, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Sorghum halepense, Teucrium cubense, Verbesina microptera.
