Habitat and Description: Local in light-colored tight sandy clay in open eroding areas around disturbed site (caliche pit?) on gentle slope underlain by Beaumont Formation. Associates include Bouteloua rigidiseta, Castela erecta, Colubrina texensis, Condalia hookeri, Dalea nana, Desmanthus reticulatus, Houstonia nigricans, Prosopis glandulosa, Pterocaulon virgatum, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Xylothamia palmeri, Yucca treculeana, Zanthoxylum fagara, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
