Habitat and Description: Occasional at edge of deciduous woodland on deep, moderately well drained, moderately alkaline clay (Danjer Series, Typic Pellusterts) along wet-weather stream between very gentle slopes underlain by calcareous sandstone of the Lissie Formation. Associates include Acacia minuata, Celtis laevigata, Celtis pallida, Cocculus diversifolius, Cynanchum racemosum ssp. unifarium, Pennisetum ciliare, Dichanthium annulatum, Diospyros texana, Ehretia anacua, Morus sp., Prosopis glandulosa, Salvia coccinea, Sarcostemma cynanchoides, Serjania brachycarpa, Teucrium cubense, Zanthoxylum fagara.
