Habitat and Description: Occasional in strip of weedy grassland between road and fenceline on soils mapped as deep, well drained, friable, moderately alkaline loam (Clareville Series, Pachic Argiustolls) on gently undulating upland underlain by caliche or calcareous sandstone of the Lissie Formation and largely converted to hay meadow. Associates include Acacia minuata, Baccharis texana, Cenchrus spinifex, Chloris ciliata, Cordia podocephala, Croton lindheimerianus, Cynodon dactylon, Dichanthium annulatum, Ditaxis humilis, Florestina tripteris, Leptochloa fascicularis, Oxalis drummondii, Panicum coloratum, Pennisetum ciliare, Prosopis glandulosa, Sorghum halepense, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Tridens texanus, Zanthoxylum fagara.
