Habitat and Description: Locally common in strip of weedy grassland between road and fenceline on soils mapped as deep, well drained, friable, moderately alkaline loam (Clareville Series, Pachic Argiustolls) on gently undulating upland underlain by caliche or calcareous sandstone of the Lissie Formation and largely converted to hay meadow. Associates include Acacia minuata, Cenchrus spinifex, Chloris ciliata, Cordia podocephala, Croton lindheimerianus, Cynodon dactylon, Dichanthium annulatum, Digitaria cognata, Ditaxis humilis, Florestina tripteris, Leptochloa fascicularis, Oxalis drummondii, Panicum coloratum, Pennisetum ciliare, Prosopis glandulosa, Sorghum halepense, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Zanthoxylum fagara.
