Habitat and Description: Rare in mixed herbaceous vegetation occasionally shredded to suppress thornscrub species, on reddish brown sandy clay loam on level upland underlain by caliche or calcareous sandstone of the Lissie Formation. Associates include Acacia rigidula, Acalypha monostachya, Acleisanthes longiflora, Ambrosia confertiflora, Aristida purpurea, Asclepias emoryi, Bouteloua trifida, Chamaesyce velleriflora, Chloris cf. latisquamea, Clematis drummondii, Colubrina texensis, Desmanthus virgatus, Eragrostis secundiflora, Evolvulus sericeus, Hermannia texana, Galphimia angustifolia, Houstonia nigricans, Menodora heterophylla, Panicum hallii, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Physalis cinerascens, Richardia tricocca, Simsia calva, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Thamnosma texanum, Tridens muticus, Wedelia hispida.
