Habitat and Description: Common in broad sendero cut through mesquite shrubland on +/- level upland underlain by Frio Formation. Associates include Acleisanthes obtusa, Ambrosia confertiflora, Aristida purpurea, Celtis pallida, Chloris cucullata, Colubrina texensis, Croton dioicus, C. lindheimerianus, Pappophorum bicolor, Prosopis glandulosa, Simsia calva, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Tidestroemia lanuginosa.
