Habitat and Description: Locally common in disturbed sandy clay in idle wildlife food plots plowed in clearing in mesquite woodland on +/- level upland underlain by Frio Formation. Associates include Abutilon abutiloides, A. incanum, Baccharis neglecta, Conyza coulteri, Eragrostis cilianensis, Funastrum cynanchoides, Mollugo verticillata, Tidestroemia lanuginosa. Rare elsewhere on ranch.
