Habitat and Description: Locally common in bulldozed swath through mesquite-granjeno shrubland on heavy clay on broad, upper edge of nearly level floodplain. Associates include Bouteloua trifida, Chamaesyce serpens, Chloris ciliata, Pappophorum bicolor, Sesuvium sp., Sporobolus pyramidatus, Tidestroemia lanuginosa, Tridens sp.
