Habitat and Description:
Locally common in bulldozed swath through mesquite-granjeno shrubland on heavy clay on broad, upper edge of nearly level floodplain. Also common in uplands to east. Associates here include Bouteloua trifida, Chamaesyce serpens, Chloris ciliata, Pappophorum bicolor, Sesuvium sp., Sporobolus pyramidatus, Tidestroemia lanuginosa, Tridens sp.
