Habitat and Description: Rare on mud exposed in bed of very narrow (ca. 10 feet wide), deeply entrenched channel of Nueces River. Associates include Cynodon dactylon, Dichanthium annulatum, Eryngium nasturtiifolium, Fraxinus berlandieriana, Helenium microcephalum, Oenothera speciosa, Rumex pulcher, Salix nigra, Senecio tampicanus, Tridens albescens, Veronica peregrina.
