Habitat and Description: Occasional in mixed-stature thornscrub on somewhat sandy alluvial soils along drainageway across otherwise clayey upper portion of floodplain of Nueces River. Associates include Acacia berlandieri, A. rigidula, A. schaffneri, Aloysia gratissima, Descurainia pinnata, Guaiacum angustifolium, Jatropha dioica, Koeberlinia spinosa, Prosopis glandulosa, Schaefferia cuneifolia, Yucca treculeana, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
