Habitat and Description: Occasional in moist to wet clay on mostly unshaded sloping bank of large L-shaped stock tank on otherwise level clayey floodplain of Nueces River, western part of U. S. Navy's Escondido Ranch. Associates include Echinodorus berteroi, Eleocharis palustris, Eryngium nasturtiifolium, Chloracantha spinosa, Cyperus articulatus, Helenium microcephalum, Rumex pulcher, Coreopsis tinctoria, Phyla nodiflora.
