Habitat and Description: Common in light-colored clay or sandy clay in bed of jeep track through tall-stature thornscrub on upper part of broad floodplain of Nueces River. Associates include Ambrosia confertiflora, Ammoselinum popei, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Argemone aenea, Astragalus nuttallianus, Bouteloua trifida, Chenopodium berlandieri, Evax verna, Glandularia quadrangulata, Hilaria belangeri, Lesquerella lindheimeri, Nama hispidum, Pappophorum bicolor, Quincula lobata, Ratibida columnifera, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Verbena canescens.
