Habitat and Description: Occasional in herbaceous vegetation on deep sandy soils on gently undulating Recent alluvium supporting live oak - mesquite savanna. Associates include Castilleja indivisa, Eriogonum multiflorum, Helianthus debilis, Monarda punctata, Nassella leucotricha, Phlox drummondii, Rhynchosia americana, Rudbeckia hirta.
