Habitat and Description: Rare in brushy post oak-mesquite woodland on stony soils on flat top of outcrop of Weches Formation reddish-brown sandstone. Associates include Acacia cf. greggii, Celtis reticulata, Condalia hookeri, Diospyros texana, Opuntia lindheimeri, Prosopis glandulosa, Quercus stellata, Rhus trilobata, Wedelia hispida, Yucca treculeana.
