Habitat and Description: Perennial? Rays yellow, styliferous, 7-8 mm long. Rare in moist to wet or saturated silty to clayey alluvium on mostly unshaded riverbank. Herbaceous associates include Andropogon glomeratus, Cladium jamaicense, Cyperus odoratus, Eleocharis montividensis, E. rostellata, Fuirena simplex, Leersia oryzoides, Muhlenbergia involuta, M. utilis, Panicum virgatum, Paspalum dilatatum, P. urvillea, Rhynchospora nivea, Sprghastrum nutans, Typha domingensis, Ambrosia trifida, Aster praealus, A. subulatus, A. texanus, Bidens frondosa, B. laevis, Boehmeria cylindrica, Chamaesyce nutans, Desmanthus illinoensis, Eupatorium coelestinum, E. serotinum, Helianthus maximiliani, Hydrocotyle umbellata, Iva angustifolia, I. annua, Justicia americana, Ludwigia octovalvis, L. palustris, Mentha sp., Mitreola petiolata, Nasturtium officinale, Oenothera jamesii, Physostegia sp., Pluchea purpurascens, Sagittaria sp., Solidago juliae, Verbena brasiliensis, and Xanthium strumarium.
