Habitat and Description: Rare in narrow linear strip of bog-like vegetation in soggy sandy-silty soil in drainageway in valley between slopes at contact between Willis and Fleming formations. Associates include Acer rubrum, Alnus serrulata, Andropogon virginicus, Bidens frondosa, Boehmeria cylindrica, Centella asiatica, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Cyperus haspan, Dulichium arundinaceum, Eleocharis sp., Erianthus sp., Fuirena squarrosa, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Fuirena squarrosa, Gratiola pilosa, Ludwigia repens, Lycopus rubellus, Mikania scandens, Osmunda regalis, Rhynchospora sp., Scirpus cyperinus, Sparganium americanum, Sphagnum sp., Triadenum sp., Utricularia sp., Woodwardia virginica, Xyris sp.
