Habitat and Description: Stems tufted but tufts connected by short rhizomes thus forming dense low mats, on saline clay on exposed bed of intermittent stretch of Palo Blanco Creek. Associates include Lycium carolinianum, Suaeda sp., Heliotropium curassavicum, Monanthochloe littoralis; bordered upslope by band of Spartina spartinae.
