Habitat and Description: Banner light purple in broad marginal band, white centrally. Locally frequent in sandy loam on unshaded level to gently sloping roadside, top of roadbank. In post oak savanna. Associates include Lupinus subcarnosus, Castillega indivisa, Nothoscordum bivalve, Valerianella radiata, Oenothera laciniata, Verbena halei, Vicia ludoviciana, Rumex hastatulus, Trifolium bejariense, Euphorbia spathulata, Baptisia leucophaea.
