Habitat and Description: Occasional in neutral to moderately alkaline, dark gray, loamy Typic Ochraqualfs (Clodine Series), in wetter, open spots in coastal prairie/water oak woodland mosaic. Associates include Rhynchospora caduca, R. corniculata, Limnosciadium pumilum, Sagittaria papillosa, Carex cherokeensis, C. complanata, C. annectens, Juncus brachycarpus, J. marginatus, Dichanthelium scoparium, Tridens strictus, and Spartina spartinae.
