Habitat and Description: Stems 3 ft. tall. Rays more than 20, white. Disk yellow. Occasional in deep loose sand on unshaded to partially shaded roadside. Associates include Ambrosia artemisiifolia, Andropogon gerardii, Cassia fasciculata, Commelina erecta, Croptilon divaricatum, Croton capitatus, Diodia teres, Euphorbia corollata, Froelichia floridana, Gaillardia aestibalis var. winkleri, Heterotheca pilosa, Hypericum drummodii, Lechea sp., Monarda sp., Panicum brachyanthum, Silene subciliata, Schizachyrium scoparium, Strophostyles umbellata, Trichostema dichotomum, and Vernonia texana.
