Habitat and Description: Locally common in roadbed and other disturbed sites on dark gray clay in openings in mesquite-mixed brush stand. Associates include Glandularia bipinnatifida, G. quadrangulata, Lesquerella lindheimeri, L. lasiocarpa, Celtis pallida, Prosopis glandulosa, Opuntia lindheimeri.
