Habitat and Description: Common in mown and grazed pasture on deep sandy soil of Nueces-Sarita association on hilltop (stabilized dune?) on undulating topography underlain by eolian deposits of the Holocene Sand Sheet. Associates include Callirhoe involucrata, Cenchrus spinifex, Chamaesyce laredana, Cirsium texanum, Cryptantha texana, Descurainia pinnata, Descurainia pinnata, Glandularia quadrangulata, Lepidium austrinum, Pomaria austrotexana, Senecio ampullaceus.
