Habitat and Description:
Locally common in tight fine sand in dry hardpan in bottom of shallow depressions that host ephemeral wetlands during rainier seasons, on very gently undulating landscape of South Texas Sand Sheet. Associates include Echinocactus texensis, Sporobolus wrightii, Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Gaillardia cf. pulchella, Coreopsis tinctoria, Bouteloua hirsuta.
