Habitat and Description: Occasional in closely cropped, recently grazed pasture grassland or live oak savanna on reddish brown stony loam (Hensley Series) on moderate slope underlain by Marble Falls Limestone. Associates include Allium drummondii, Aristida purpurea, Asclepias asperula, Calllirhoe involucrata, Chaetopappa asteroides, Dichondra recurvata, Draba cuneifolia, Erodium texanum, Evolvulus sericeus, Galium texense, virgatum, Glandularia pumila, Houstonia sp., Menodora heterophylla, Nemastylis geminiflora, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, O. macrorhiza, Phyllanthus polygonoides, Plantago rhodosperma, Scutellaria drummondii.
