Habitat and Description: Occasional in bed of grass road through mixed vegetation (bluestem grassland with scattered mesquite) on sandy inclusion within soils mapped as Spur clay loam, on broad terrace. Associates include Andropogon hallii, Artemisia dracunculus, A. filifolia, A. ludoviciana, Bouteloua curtipendula, Eriogonum multiflorum, Gaillardia (pulchella?), Heterotheca spp., Prosopis glandulosa, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sorghastum nutans, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Stenosiphon linifolius, Tridens muticus, and Xanthisma texanum.
