Habitat and Description: Rare in rather sparse vegetation on somewhat saline tight clayey soil (Maverick Series) on valley flat between gentle slopes underlain by Pleistocene fluviatile deposits. Associates include Dichanthium annulatum, Heliotropium curassavicum, Isocoma coronopifolia, Iva texensis, Opuntia engelmannii, O. leptocaulis, Pappophorum vaginatum, Prosopis glandulosa, P. reptans, Sporobolus pyramidatus.
