Habitat and Description: N-facing bluff just downstream from road crossing, mostly gypsum boulders with some red soil; with Juniperus pinchotii, Rhus aromatica, R. microphylla, Forestiera pubescens, mesquite, Artemesia ludoviciana. Sterile shrub, multistemmed from base, wandy stems 3-6 ft tall. (Collected with permission of the Pitchfork Ranch.).
