Habitat and Description: Occasional shrub in opening in dense mixed mesquite-whitebrush shrubland on somewhat sandy alluvium on higher part of current floodplain. Associates include Aloysia gratissima, Larrea tridentata, Pappophorum bicolor, Prosopis glandulosa, Ratibida columnifera.
