Habitat and Description: Tepals pink; occasional in moist clayey alluvium on partally sahded margin of pond (natural?) in old creek channel on broad floodplain of Borrego and other creeks. Associates include Carex crus-corvi, Cyperus virens, Eclipta prostrata, Fraxinus (berlandieriana?), Ludwigia peploides, Paspalum lividum, Teucrium canadense.
