Habitat and Description:
Common in sparse herbaceous vegetation on saline clay (Catarina Series) in broad shallow open drainageway probably clearly of brush in the not-too-distant past, between gravelly slopes underlain by Catahoula and Frio formations. Associates include Billieturnera helleri, Guitierrezia sp., Physalis lobata, Prosopis reptans, Quincula lobata, Salsola tragus, Tridens albescens.
