Habitat and Description: Frequent on gypsum exposures in W- to NW-facing steep slope underlain by Blaine Formation (Permian). Associates include Andropogon hallii, Artemisia filifolia, A. ludoviciana, Bouteloua curtipendula, Euphorbia lata, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Heterotheca (stenophylla?), Machaeranthera (pinnatifida?), Nama stevensii, Phacelia integrifolia, Rhus aromatica, Schizachyrium scoparium, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Thelesperma megapotamicum, Tridens muticus, Yucca glauca.
