Habitat and Description: Occasional in herbaceous vegetation in moist sand and granite gravel at base of slopes of Town Mountain Granite, partially shaded banks of Hickory Branch. Associates include Bacopa monnieri, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Eclipta prostrata, Juncus marginatus, Lindernia anagallidea, Muhlenbergia lindheimeri, Polypogon viridis, Salix nigra, Samolus parviflorus.
