Habitat and Description: Rather rare in Bermudagrass pasture on deep excessively drained sand in opening in deciduous forest on gentle slope underlain by Sparta Sand. Associates include Allium sp., Apocynum cannabinum, Brazoria truncata var. pulcherrima, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croton argyranthemus, Ditaxis pilosissima, Gamochaeta purpurea, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Linum medium var. texanum, Loeflingia texana, Matelea cynanchoides, Oenothera laciniata, Opuntia sp., Paronychia drummondii, Pediomelum subulatum, Senecio ampullaceus, Sida lindheimeri, Stillingia sylvatica.
