Locality: United States, Texas, Grimes, E of house on Gail Allen property, ca. 500-1000 feet E of Co. Rd. 403 from a point 3.6-3.7 roadmiles N of its jct. with F. M. 3090 near Navasota, ca. 2.3 airmiles SW of jct. F. M. 3090 and F. M. 149 at Erwin. Navasota Quadrangle. Elev. 200 - 210 ft.

Habitat and Description: Frequent in herbaceous vegetation in slightly acid fine sandy loam Aquic Paleustalfs (Falba Series) on nearly level upland underlain by Catahoula Formation and supporting post oak savanna vegetation. Associates include Bifora americana, Callirhoe involucrata, Echinacea sanguinea, Fimbristylis puberula, Krameria lanceolata, Lechea san-sabeana, Neptunia lutea, Paspalum notatum, P. plicatulum, P. setaceum, Rhynchospora harveyi, Rudbeckia hirta, Rubus sp., Sabatia campestris, Spiranthes vernalis.
