Habitat and Description:
Locally common in unshaded to partially shaded drainage ditch and in bed of natural intermittent stream crossing former blackland prairie landscape on gently rolling topography underlain by Taylor Marl. Associates include Andropogon glomeratus, Cyperus elegans, C. odoratus, Eleocharis sp., Helenium amarum, Juncus interior, J. texanus, J. torreyi, Ludwigia octovalvis, Salix nigra, Triadeca sebifera, Typha domingensis.
