Habitat and Description: Common in open low shrubland on gentle colluvial slope and on low flat ridge of Lower Cretaceous limestone of the Washita Group. Associates include Berberis trifoliolata, Echinocactus horizonthalonius, Echinocereus pectinatus, Fouquieria splendens, Larrea tridentata, Leucophyllum minus, Opuntia sp., Yucca torreyi, Zinnia acerosa, stunted Prosopis glandulosa.
