Habitat and Description: Occasional in mixed herbaceous vegetation among post oak mottes on soils mapped as deep, poorly drained, silty clay loam Fluvaquentic Haplaquolls of the Sweetwater Series, edge of sandy upland at upper edge of floodplain. Associates include Andropogon hallii, Artemisia ludoviciana, Bouteloua sp., Celtis sp., Eriogonum multiflorum, Heterotheca subaxillaris, Prunus angustifolia, Quercus havardii, Q. stellata, Rhus aromatica, Schizachyrium scoparium.
