Habitat and Description: Common in herbaceous vegetation on occasionally mown ranch road through deciduous forest on deep, well drained, slightly acid loamy fine sand Alfisols on gentle slope underlain by Sparta Sand. Associates include Dichondra carolinensis, Eupatorium compositifolium, Evax candida, Gamochaeta purpurea, Helianthemum sp., Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Loeflingia squarrosa, Pediomelum hypogaeum var. subulatum, Polypremum procumbens, Rumex hastatulus, Senecio ampullaceus, Tradescantia sp. (26620), Vulpia octoflora.
