Habitat and Description: Occasional in open, very heavily grazed bermudagrass pasture on Tonkawa deep, excessively drained, slightly acid, fine sand Quartzipsamments on moderate upland slope underlain by Sparta Sand. Associates include Cnidoscolus texanus, Cynodon dactylon, Evax candida, Helianthemum sp., Linaria texana, Loeflingia squarrosa, Matelea cynanchoides, Senecio ampullaceus, Tradescantia sp.
