Habitat and Description: Rare in unshaded improved pasture of bermudagrass - bahiagrass on excessively drained fine sand on gentle slopes underlain Sparta Sand. Associates include Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Brazoria truncata var. pulcherrima, Cnidoscolus texanus, Croton sp., Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus sp., Dichanthelium sp., Evax candida, Gaillardia amblyodon, Helianthemum sp., Houstonia subviscosa, Hymenopappus artemisiifolius, Krigia occidentalis, Lechea mucronata, Matelea cynanchoides, Oenothera laciniata, Paronychia drummondii, Paspalum notatum, P. setaceum, Rhododon angulatus, Tradescantia sp., Vulpia octoflora.
