Habitat and Description: Corolla pale yellow with continuous purple maculae, only 7 mm long from top of calyx tube; local on loose alluvial sand on partially shaded bank of perennial stream. Associates include Acer negundo, Amorpha fruticosa, Ampelopsis arborea, Carya illinoinensis, Chasmanthium latifolium, Clematis pitcheri, Cucumis melo, Elymus virginicus, Fraxinus berlandieriana, Parthenium hysterophorus, Quercus fusiformis, Rapistrum rugosum, Salix nigra, Sorghum halepense, Ulmus americana, U. crassifolia.
