Habitat and Description: Rare in heavily utilized pasture in former live oak woodland on poorly drained clayey upland underlain by Recent alluvium. Associates include Carex cherokeensis, Cynodon dactylon, Cyperus entrerianus, Euphorbia bicolor, Iva annua, Micromeria brownei, Panicum rigidulum, Paspalum pubiflorum, Phyla nodiflora, Quercus virginiana, Sabal minor, Sporobolus indicus, Steinchisma hians, Stenotaphrum secundatum, Triadica sebifera.
