Habitat and Description: Occasional in rather sparse herbaceous vegetation in tight fine sand atop claypan on dry upper margin of natural pothole pond on otherwise nearly level topography of South Texas Sand Sheet. Associates include Bulbostylis capillaris, Chamaecrista fasciculata, Croton capitatus, C. glandulosus, Cyperus squarrosus, Diodia teres, Eragrostis secundiflora, Paspalum setaceum, Polypremum procumbens, Sporobolus pyramidatus, S. wrightii, Talinum parviflorum, Xanthisma texanum.
