Habitat and Description: Common in opening in mixed shrubland on deep alluvial clay on level floodplain a few feet above old channel of Nueces River. Associates include Celtis pallida, Grindelia sp., Guaiacum angusti-folium, Lesquerella lindheimeri, Opuntia lindheimeri, Phacelia congesta, Prosopis glandulosa, Ziziphus obtusifolia.
