Habitat and Description: Locally abundant this year in herbaceous vegetation on light-colored gravelly clay loam on occasionally mown highway right-of-way on gently rolling landscape underlain by Catahoula and Frio formations. Associates include Celtis pallida, Gaura brachycarpa, Oenothera laciniata, Nama jamaicense, Prosopis glandulosa.
