Habitat and Description: Locally frequent in open shrubland on convex hill of fine sand rising about 15 feet above clayey alluvial plain formed by various channels of Nueces RiverAssociates include Allionia incarnata, Aphanostephus riddellii, Aristida purpurea, Berberis trifoliolata, Carlowrightia texana, Celtis pallida, Chamaesyce glyptosperma, Chloris cucullata, Croton lindheimerianus, Descurainia pinnata, Diospyros texana, Ephedra antisyphilitica, Jatropha dioica, Koeberlinia spinosa, Oenothera laciniata, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, Palafoxia texana, Pediomelum rhombifolium, Pectis tenella, Pennisetum ciliare, Prosopis glandulosa, Silene antirrhina, Yucca treculeana, Y. cf. constricta.
